For people who want to rejuvenate their skin using the most natural tools available: their own plasma and growth factors. PRP and PRF stimulate collagen, improve texture, and support deep skin repair for the under-eyes, scalp, and full face. On their own or paired with microneedling, these treatments work with your biology, not against it.

PRP & PRF Treatments in Woodhaven, MI
PRP (platelet-rich plasma) and PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) use your own blood to extract concentrated growth factors that stimulate healing, collagen production, and tissue repair. At our med spas in Woodhaven and Trenton, we use PRP and PRF across multiple treatments, from under-eye rejuvenation to hair restoration to microneedling, tailoring the approach to what your skin or scalp actually needs.

How We Use PRP For Hair & Skin Rejuvenation
PRP and PRF aren’t one-size-fits-all. How we use them depends on what you’re trying to improve. At Tox & Skin Co., we offer a range of PRP and PRF treatments, including:
- Microneedling With PRP: Growth factors penetrate through micro-channels created during treatment, accelerating collagen production and enhancing results for scarring, texture, and tone
- PRP/PRF Under-Eye Rejuvenation: Stimulates collagen and improves skin quality in the delicate under-eye area
- PRP/PRF Hair Restoration: Growth factors are injected into the scalp to stimulate dormant follicles and encourage thicker, healthier growth
When a more aggressive regenerative approach is needed, especially for under-eye rejuvenation, we may recommend Ariessence (PDGF), a platelet-derived growth factor treatment that’s up to 100,000 times more potent than PRP alone.
Your PRP & PRF Questions, Answered
Both come from your own blood and contain concentrated growth factors, but they’re processed differently. PRP is spun at a higher speed to isolate plasma and platelets. PRF is spun at a lower speed, which preserves a wider range of growth factors, white blood cells, and fibrin. The result is a slower, more sustained release of healing factors over time.
Discomfort is minimal. For under-eye and scalp treatments, we apply a topical numbing cream before injection. The blood draw itself is quick and similar to a routine lab visit. When PRP is paired with microneedling, the numbing cream applied before the microneedling session keeps you comfortable throughout.
Most clients start noticing improvement within two to four weeks of their first session, with results continuing to develop over the following months as collagen and tissue repair ramp up. Because PRP and PRF are regenerative, the full benefit comes from completing the recommended series rather than a single treatment.
The FDA has cleared the devices used to prepare PRP, but PRP treatments themselves are not specifically FDA-approved for cosmetic use. That said, PRP has been used safely in medicine for decades, including orthopedics, wound healing, and dentistry. It’s one of the most well-studied regenerative treatments available and is widely used in aesthetic medicine with a strong safety profile.
Recovery depends on the application.
For PRP paired with microneedling, expect redness and mild sensitivity for 24 to 48 hours.
For under-eye or scalp injections, some tenderness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site is normal and typically resolves within a few days.
Aftercare includes avoiding direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and active skincare ingredients for at least 48 hours. At Tox & Skin Co., we send every client home with aftercare instructions specific to their treatment.
Pricing depends on the treatment:
- PRP/PRF under-eye rejuvenation: $450 per session ($382.50 for Society Members)
- PRP/PRF under-eye package of 3: $1,000
- PRP/PRF hair restoration: $500 per session ($425 for Society Members)
We’ll go over pricing and recommendations during your free aesthetic assessment.
