Does microneedling hurt?

Most clients describe it as mild pressure with a slight scratching sensation. We apply a topical numbing cream before treatment to keep you comfortable throughout the session. Sensitivity varies by area, but most clients tolerate it well and the treatment itself is over quickly.

How long do microneedling results last?

You’ll start to notice smoother, brighter skin within the first week or two, with collagen production continuing for several months after each session. For lasting results, most clients benefit from a series of treatments followed by maintenance sessions a few times per year. We can recommend the right schedule based on your skin and goals.

How often should you microneedle?

For most clients, we recommend treatments spaced four to six weeks apart to allow your skin to fully heal and produce new collagen between sessions. A series of three to six treatments is typical, depending on what we’re treating, followed by maintenance sessions to keep your results on track.

What is recovery and aftercare like?

Expect some redness and mild sensitivity for the first 24 to 48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Avoid direct sun exposure, active skincare ingredients like retinol and exfoliants, and heavy makeup for at least 48 to 72 hours post-treatment. We send every client home with detailed aftercare instructions so you know exactly what to do and what to avoid.

How long after microneedling can I get Botox?

We generally recommend waiting at least two weeks between microneedling and Botox or other injectable treatments. This gives your skin time to fully heal and avoids any risk of product migration. If you’re planning both treatments, we’ll schedule them in the right order so you get the most out of each one.

How much does microneedling cost?

Microneedling at Tox & Skin Co. is $500 per session. Society Members pay $425 per session, and we offer a package of three for $1,250. Your provider goes over pricing during your initial aesthetic assessment.
